Buy dota 2 early access bundle
I see that Dota 2 is 4 cents on the market, but it’s also F2P. Is there a premium system, or a benefit to buying the game? Or just a waste of chump change? Is there any point to buying it whatsoever? Anything helps guys
There is no pay to win in Dota2. All the items from the real cash shop are only for looks. If you buy it from Steam you’ll get some items at the same time.
Paying the 4 cents it cost could be worth it as it’s hardly gonna put a dent in your wallet.
What is the point of giving someone a free to play game? Better yet, what’s the point of letting someone download 3gb of game they can’t play yet?
Woo hoo, someone gave me Dota 2. Wtf, it’s only an observer version? Pay 30 bucks to play the f2p game, double wtf. I’m completely confused.

The game is in Beta. Buy dota 2 early access bundle So it’s not available to everyone.
Buying it on Steam gives you some cash shop items and the ability to play the game.
People have gotten plenty of free gifts of Dota2 which they like to give out here. Where as we Moderator are not so keen on it due to the massive amount of spam it causes.
So it isn’t that confusing. Also buying it from the market for the 4 cents it cost gives you access to the game as well.

So there are 4 versions. There is a spectator version which is 3gb which you can recieve as a gift (like I have). There is a market version which is .04 cents which you can buy which will reportedly let you play. There is a $30.00 version which will let you play and give you some items. There is a free to play version which is coming at some point in the future.

There are three ways to get Dota2
1.Buy the Bundle from steam store which gives you some cosmetic items.
2.Buy the Gift from Community Market.
3.Someone gives you the gift for free.
Then there is Three “versions” of the Dota2 client
1.The Spectator Version (Everyone who has steam gets this version)
2.The Dota2Test Version (Basically a alpha client if you have the normal version you have this as well)
3.The normal Dota2 “Beta” Client (This is the one most people play)

I didn’t understand this rule until I made a post asking a question about giving my friend in Hong Kong a key (Chinese ban, and whatnot), and having 9 friend requests and 7 responses in my thread begging for keys, but not a single answer to my question.
People are vultures, and now I fully understand the reason.

Since the game ain’t widely open to the public yet, there’s two ways to get Dota 2 right now:
1- Go to the steam store and buy the early access pack, the one that costs like 30 bucks and gives you the game PLUS some cosmetic items.
2- Get an invite from someone who already owns the game. This ‘invite’ is actually a copy of the game for all intents and purposes.
The Dota 2 on the community market selling for like four cents? Those are invites people decided to sell instead of gifting away.
