My understanding is this – a support is strongest early game but doesn’t scale well. Therefore, they aren’t in as much need of items, though dependant of the hero, as the carry is in order to do the same damage. Hence, they can buy wards and courier, and can harass and do damage early, in order to protect the carry. They need items, but at a lower priority, so that late game, the farm they gave up has built the carry into a six slotted beast that can’t be stopped, because the support didn’t let them die.

I feel as though she is only really a lane support, but still needs her farm, unlike other supports like Lion, for example, to be effective with her spells. Basically, I’m saying her ult, in my opinion, is the hardest to use well of all supports.

Every support is better with items (take WD for example), but supports can be useful without items too. CM can slow, hold someone in place, provide the whole team with loads of mana and yes have a bad AoE spell (this is still pretty good in fights though). That’s not useless IMO.

CM isn’t supposed to be dealing much damage in the late game.
The point is that you frostbite someone, nuke them with frost nove (I think it’s called this?), and then cast your ult to kill.

Thats my problem. But trying to get kills in the early game. i get a lot of assists but no kills.

Assists is a good thing to get as a support.

It means you are taking care of your carry well.

People always raveon about my K/D when I play Dazzle but never look at the assists.

I think CM’s biggest problem that she needs someone to synergise with. Like Juggernaut.
