The first day of the playoff stage at the Maincast Autumn Brawl has just wrapped up and 3 teams have booked their place in the next round of the event. Unfortunately for their respective opponents, the single elimination format of the event would mean that they are now eliminated.

The day started off with NoPangolier going up against ESPADA, NoPangolier being the new team of ex-Odium players Andrey ‘Ghostik’ Kadyk and Semion ‘CemaTheSlayer’ Krivulya. Dota 2 brawl schedule of classes The first game was instantly full of action with ESPADA looking to be in complete control and ready to take the lead – up until around twenty-five minutes in when NoPangolier begun to get their cores online. It only took another 8 minutes after that for their Terrorblade and Weaver to close out the game and take the lead. Game two was a long-fought battle but NoPangolier were permanently in control and took the series 2-0.

Final highlights from the first game between NoPango and Espada! They’ve retreated just to attack the HighGround for the second time!

Next up was Na’Vi against Team Lithium, and it was a fantastic matchup. While Na’Vi were trying to find their footing lately, Lithium were already making waves, having been the team that eliminated Team Liquid from the Kuala Lumpur Major Qualifiers. Na’Vi took a quick 1-0 lead in the series but game two would see Lithium force things to a decisive final game – and be the first team to take a game off Na’Vi at the event.

Due to some issues with the internet, Immersion (player of Espada) will play as a standin instead of Chuvash in our third game vs Team Lithium. Let’s wish them GL&HF 🙌

Due to some issues, Na’Vi were forced to play with a standin for the final game as Evgeniy ‘Chuvash’ Makarov would be sitting it out. Even with the standin player, Na’Vi were able to quelle a lot of pressure from their opponents and get the 2-1 victory in the series. With the win, the once-top-of-CIS-Dota 2 squad would move on to face Team Secret in the next round. This match up will be extremely hype, as our favourite ex-Na’Vi player Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin will be playing alongside Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov once again as a standin in Team Secret.

The final series of the day was between Winstrike Team and Nemiga Gaming and the winner would move onto the next round to face Ninjas in Pyjamas. The series did not last long at all and neither did Nemiga as Winstrike took them down 2-0 in under an hour of total time played. Tomorrow there will be 2 series played, Gambit Esports versus NoPangolier and NiP versus Winstrike.

You will be able to catch him and the rest of #SecretDota playing later in the @dota2mc Autumn Brawl Playoffs. #SecretFighting

What could be the biggest game, Na’Vi versus Team Secret, will be played on Friday October 12 th . We’re all excited to see Dendi playing alongside Puppey once again, even if it is just for a short while.
