I’ve been getting this glitch for a month or two now. And its really ♥♥♥♥ing up my game. Right now I’ve got 4 abandons, and at only 1 time did my internet stop working for 5mins and no one paused. Here’s how it happens. I search for a match, Accept, boom, black screen. I try close the game, reopen and reconnect but i never make it in time before the timers give me abandon. When I was in AP I would pick a random hero by clicking any area in the black screen and clicking the select hero area. Dota 2 gt 430 specs I’ve tried disabling global lighting, I don’t know what else to do. It happens randomly and its just hell for me now. I’m running a core i5, 4gb ram, nvidia gt 430. I know the graphics card is old, and not the best specs, but i used to play the game on lowest settings on my slower laptop without any issues. The game runs smoothly on highest settings. Its just this glitch which started about a month or two ago that’s just hell for me now. Nvidia 430 Jesus. No wonder. Dotas performance issues on older hardware pile up over time because Valve gradually ups the system requirements to keep up with modern hardware. Your black screen issue is unlikely to ever be fixed. Your best bet is to upgrade to a new GPU, preferably 960 series and above. EDIT: DotA also has an 8GB RAM min requirement. You’re lucky you’re able to run the game at all on 4. Nvidia 430 Jesus. You’re lucky you’re able to run the game at all on 4. are you sure you’re not looking at the recommended ram requirements? Bro , i had the same issue. Probably bc we both have low spec pc’s. I also could hear the sounds(10 seconds remaining, the lose gold effect, etc..) but still black screen. Try to not do anything when this happens , dont click buttons with mouse dont move cursor !! it might take a lot of time 1 minute + sometimes but it unstucks ! ! ! Try it and tell me i think that happened once as well, I just saw the blank screen and just wen’t to get food, by the time i got back it was back up and i had lost a lot of gold, but still better than an abandon. Will try just waiting for it next time, but God my patience is ranked one of the worst in this world. Thanks a lot. Will post another comment about it when next it happens. Thanks guys. |
