Dota 2 items drops in the bucket
Dota 2 items drops in the bucket
Hi guys, I’m planning to buy ticket for a tournament that i like to watch and i am just curious about item drops. Where do i need to watch the game to be able to have a chance to receive an item drop for the tournament? Is watching in-game (Dota 2 game client) the only way to receive drops or do i need to watch on twitch? Or if both do give me chances of winning drops, which is better one, to watch in-game client or twitch?
Thanks for whatever response i might get in here.. it’s just because my first time to buy a ticket (not to mention that i have TI4 compendium w/c i believe is a tournament ticket too) and i just want to take my chances of winning cool item drops.
Thanks and more power 🙂

Yeah dude. and i hope we can have good response 🙂
The match must have at least 200 views so that the heroic item dropped.
Hi sir, yeah i knew about that it has to be certain numbers of spectators for the items to be drop-able, but what i’m wondering is that if where should i watch the games for me to be able to have chances and which is better.
Anyways, thanks for your response sir. good day to you 🙂
You get drops on for watching in Dota TV or Twitch. To be eligible for Twitch drops you need to link your Steam account to your Twitch account. If you watch the same match in both Dota TV and Twitch it does not increase your odds. However if you watch two different matches that are happening at the same time, one on Dota TV and one on Twitch, you will be elegible for both. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT have two instance of Dota open on the same computer watching two different matches at the same time. You will be BANNED not low priority, not muted but banned.
Also amateur tournaments no longer drop items ony pro and higher ( ithnk those are the categories I may have the names wrong)

Oh, thank you very much sir.. you’re so kind to answer. But i have one question, do watching in the game-client itself don’t give me chances of getting item drops? not that i don’t like to watch matches on streams, it’s just that it is much cooler if you can control the camera and other stuffs besides the casters and it feels more the action if you watch it in-game.
Thanks again for your nice response sir, it’s very helpful to me 🙂
