Like very wrong.

I know this is something people have complained about in TF2 for years now, but more than ever the hitbox for a headshot seems incredibly off for me.
I’l line up a headshot and get nothing. I’ll shoot over their head and nail a juming Scout somehow.

Someone was telling me it’s my LERP. I understand the default 100LERP is apparently not good, but what the hell is LERP and can it actually help me?

Headshot an afk Medic.

It completely misses.

FYI, the source engine is old as f*ck, and got repaired and patched up multiple times. The hit registration was always strange. That you miss or do a bodyshot on a VISUAL Headshot has the same chance like doing a facestab.

And lags can cause “misses” too.

Backstab hitbox is messed up.

People may say ‘ermagherd facestab’ but it’s broken in a bad way for Spies, that’s a fact.

The amount of times I’ve stood behind a Medic or whoever it may be and pressed M1 and proceed to deal no damage or like 37 is unbelievable.

One particular story I have is from a competitive match.

I was behind a Heavy-Medic combo but the Medic was being guarded by a Pyro so even if I tried, I’d die instantly. However, the Heavy wasn’t paying attention to anything but the people walking into his crosshair and the Pyro was too distracted by protecting the Medic.

Disguise as Engi, switch to melee so it looks like Engi with Gunslinger.

Run up to Heavy and stop for about a second to make sure I don’t deal like 44 damage and facepalm at my fail. M1 and the backstab animation plays but I deal no damage but then I hear the hitsound and I do this THREE times before the Pyro spots me and kills me.

Now at NO TIME did he SEE MY BACK throughout that whole encounter, but he stabbed me in the face and it was a backstab.

Or the Time where I was in a derpy fight with a spy, and there are times where I am BEHIND the spy, looking at HIS BACK, yet I get BACKSTABBED!
I SHOULD BE BACKSTABBING HIM IF ANYTHING!

It always seems to register when they don’t mean to register and never registers when people want it to register.
